Replacement dugout campaign launch

Replacement dugout campaign launch

Be the first to claim a chance to win 2 England tickets at the Six Nations Championship in 2024 by pledging just £5.00 to our Crowdfunder campaign to purchase two new pitch side dugouts.  We are reaching out to the community to help us install two new dugouts at our ground for our players, officials and visiting teams.

Pitch development is one of our key priorities and will drastically improve matchdays for all teams, members, and spectators, but importantly we represent the people of Tewkesbury and the surrounding areas. Join us on our journey to make Tewkesbury proud of the facilities your local rugby club provides.

We have been incredibly fortunate to have secured a number of grants in the past two years that has allowed us to develop our Pitch Development Programme a) drainage system on the training pitch b) bole hole feeding an irrigation system fed by 3 large water tanks giving us a sustainable water source. We are about to embark on our latest project to replace the out-dated concrete and metal pitch side fencing with new environmentally friendly fencing. The introduction of this new fencing is a huge improvement for both players and club, but our existing dug-outs just like the out dated fencing are ramshackle and in desperate need of replacing. We are reaching out to the Tewkesbury Community to help us fund 2 brand new dug-out units to seat 8 people that can be used by players and visitors alike and which would make a huge difference.

Whilst the pandemic in many ways seems like a distant memory, the ongoing impact on grassroots sport across the country continues to be felt with many clubs folding. At Tewkesbury RFC we too still feel the impact in terms of lost revenues and are now facing, as many families across the country are, spiralling price rises due to the cost of living crisis. The Club are committed to ensuring we have a long and sustainable future and the club continues its proud 150 year history.

We are reaching out to all of our supporters as well as family, friends, local businesses in the hope that even in these difficult times you can help us reach our goal of £5,500.
