Opening Times

Our clubhouse is now closed

until further notice following

government lockdown

Our Clubhouse at The Moats is the hub of the Tewkesbury RFC family. In normal times our Clubhouse is available to hire for all sorts of occasions from a business meeting to a wedding and everything in-between.  View our gallery

Tewkesbury has a local COVID alert level of Tier 2 meaning that our clubhouse must remain closed.

When we are able to open
When we are able we will be looking forward to welcoming all our members to enjoy the hospitality of the club, and in these difficult times it is a great way to support the club, but at the same time we would respectfully remind everyone to comply with the Covid restrictions/regulations.  Under previous guidance that meant that we could host up to a maximum of 10 tables, but no one should socialize in groups greater than 6 other than above.  It is also important to remember that those from different households or support bubbles visiting the clubhouse remain socially distanced at all times.  We hope that in the coming weeks/months we will once again open our doors.

On arrival
  • Please use one of our track and trace GR codes to scan.
  • Face coverings must also be worn whilst you are inside the clubhouse, you may only remove your face covering when you are seated at a table.
  • Please take a seat at a table and wait for our bar staff to take your order at your table.
  • Please do not approach the bar.
  • We are able to take cash or card, however, a payment card is preferred.

Track & Trace
For those visiting the clubhouse in line with government guidelines, we operate a track and trace system.  On arrival, please use the NHS Track & Trace app and scan our unique GR code with your smartphone.  The app is available for IOS and Android on the App store.  Please look out for the posters featuring the GR code around our facilities.

Children

With the change in the clocks and winter approaching our outside space is now closed, however, children are welcome in the clubhouse, but would ask parents to follow the guidance.  If you would like to bring games, colouring or electronic devices (wifi is free) to keep the kids entertained please do so, but please take any items home with you.

HOSPITALITY

We can provide all your catering needs for your event or meeting, or drop in at the weekend for a selection of great hot food.

FREE WIFI

We also have flat screens and projector screens available for sporting events and presentations. The club regularly shows live international rugby.

PARKING

We have ample parking, along with disabled parking and disabled access to the clubhouse/toilets.

SKITTLE ALLEY

Our clubhouse is home to several local skittles teams, but is also available to hire for your event.

OUTSIDE SPACE

We have plenty of “flat” outside space which lends itself well to marques or any sporting events.

FUNCTION ROOMS

We also have flat screens and projector screens available for sporting events and presentations. The club regularly shows live international rugby.

The RFU announced on Friday 6 March their return to rugby roadmap, which has been developed alongside the government's roadmap. From Monday 29th March our men, women, juniors and walking rugby will resume training to Stage D1 on the roadmap and will follow the different stages providing RFU and government guidelines allow us to do so. To view training times please see our training schedule on our home page.
Our clubhouse remains closed until such time as the Government confirm that hospitality may open. In addition work is being undertaken to relocate our cellar which has suffered damage from flooding, which may delay opening. We recognize that this is hugely disappointing for everyone, but as soon as we are have more information we will share with our members.
