Opening Times

Our clubhouse is now closed

until further notice following

government lockdown

Our Clubhouse at The Moats is the hub of the Tewkesbury RFC family. In normal times our Clubhouse is available to hire for all sorts of occasions from a business meeting to a wedding and everything in-between.  View our gallery

We are open to our members, who are also able to bring a guest (£1.00 fee).  Our opening times include a 20-minute “drink-up” time.

Tewkesbury has a local COVID Alert Level of Medium meaning that people from different households must not meet in groups of larger than 6.  This limit does not apply to meetings of a single household group or support bubble where it consists of more than 6 people.  For more information please visit the government website

We welcome all our members to enjoy the hospitality of the club, and in these difficult times it is a great way to support the club, but at the same time we would respectfully remind everyone to comply with the Covid restrictions/regulations. This means that we can host up to a maximum of 10 tables, but no one should socialise in groups of greater than 6 other than above.  It is also important to remember that those from different households or support bubbles visiting the clubhouse remain socially distanced at all times.

On arrival
  • Please use one of our track and trace GR codes to scan.
  • Face coverings must also be worn whilst you are inside the clubhouse, you may only remove your face covering when you are seated at a table.
  • Please take a seat at a table and wait for our bar staff to take your order at your table.
  • Please do not approach the bar.
  • We are able to take cash or card, however, payment card is preferred.

Track & Trace

For those visiting the clubhouse in line with government guidelines, we operate a track and trace system.  On arrival, please use the NHS Track & Trace app and scan our unique GR code with your smartphone.  The app is available for IOS and Android on the App store.  Please lookout for the posters featuring the GR code around our facilities.

Children

With the change in the clocks and winter approaching our outside space is now closed, however, children are welcome in the clubhouse, but would ask parents to follow the guidance.  If you would like to bring games, colouring or electronic devices (wifi is free) to keep the kids entertained please do so, but please take any items home with you.

We can provide all your catering needs for your event or meeting, or drop in at the weekend for a selection of great hot food.

5 November 2020 Parliament yesterday voted in favour of the Government’s national lockdown proposals aimed at curbing the increase in Covid-19 cases in England, which take effect from Thursday 5 November until Wednesday 2 December. In addition, the Government has announced the cessation of all community team sports during this period, which applies to Age Grade and Adult rugby activities below Championship and Premier 15s. This means that all our activities have stopped.
With effect from 5 November 2020, we return to Stage A on the Return to Community Rugby Roadmap. This means that no competitive or formal rugby activities can be undertaken until at least Wednesday 2 December.
The RFU will now review what the implications of this national lockdown plan mean for clubhouses, schools, colleges, universities, etc., and will provide more detailed information in the Covid-19 Community Game Update.
We recognize that this is hugely disappointing for everyone, but as soon as we are able to recommence our activities in a safe way you can be assured play and our clubhouse will open.
Lastly, we would like to thank all our members, coaches, players, parents and those of you who support the club. Please keep safe and we will see you very soon we hope!
Clubhouse Our clubhouse is also now closed until further notice. However, our car park will continue to host the Mobile Testing Unit during the week. Please contact the government website if you need to book a test as Tewkesbury RFC cannot assist you in this process.
