Last nights CPR/AED (defibrillator) training session with the team from Great Western Air Ambulance Charity was an outstanding success with over 40 players, coaches and members all wanting to now how to respond such a vital life saving skill. The Heartstarter team explained the difference between cardiac arrest vs heart attack giving a demonstration on how to put a person into the recovery position and how to apply CPR and/or AED. We hope they never have to use these skills but good to know they are there. GWAAC respond to 5.5 calls every day and receive no government or lottery funding and rely on people like us to keep them flying. We raised over £85.00 on the night so thank you everyone for donating. If you are interested in helping raise funds for GWAAC or would like to donate visit their website or their is a collecting tin on the bar! https://greatwesternairambulance.com/donate
We’d certainly encourage any other clubs to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity with GWAAC Gloucestershire Rfu Gloucester Rugby
