Tewkesbury 41 – Berry Hill 36

Tewkesbury played some really good rugby against a large and strong Berry Hill side on a dry but cloudy Sunday morning. Berry Hill got off to a better start scoring three tries without reply through some very strong forward play. Tewkesbury scored from the restart when B.Roberts caught the bouncing ball and scored with O.Osbourne converting. Tewkesbury rallied from there and started to move the ball around which saw some of our faster players (E.Perry, W.Sayers, T.Leggett, N.Knight(2)) run in tries of which two were converted. The game was a close encounter in which Berry Hill never gave up scoring a number of times, again, through strong forward play. The battle continued, score 36 – 36, right up till the last few minutes when a kick over the Hill defence into the in-goal area, by S.Thomas, saw N.Knight chase it and score the winning try.

Well done boys we are very proud of the attitude and determination to ensure the start of the season see our U11s make it played one won one against a strong Berry Hill outfit.

We also hope the two Berry Hill players who were injured have a speedy recovery.
