Nicholas Smith and James Naylor have been looking at different ways we can support our local community and we’ve had some really great suggestions so far and it’s great to see people getting involved early on.
With this being said we’ve decided to support the local food bank in Tewkesbury. It’s amazing to see that some local food banks have seen a rise in demand of around 400% in the last few years and play a large part in people’s lives, yet do it with very little praise. Having met the people that run the operation it’s clear to see how passionate they are about it too.
Drop off location is in the rugby club and is open from 6/7pm most evenings for drop offs.
We know it’s late into Christmas now but we think there is still time to make a difference so we are setting up a collection within the club for people to drop off donations. Here is a list to make it easier for you should you wish to help.
It’s important for us to know that this effort will continue throughout the next couple of years too but would be great if we can get off to a strong start in the short time between now and Xmas.
Any other suggestions on how we can help the local community please feel free to message Nick or myself too. Please feel free to share this post as much as possible to get the word out.
